= More great choices for the seat of Coogee =

== Save open spaces ==

Preserve our crown lands in perpetuity as was originally intended. Public open space is crucial for the amenity of our region.

Stop the encroachment of private interests on public land.

== Restore local services ==

Keep strip shopping including post offices as community assets. Add to their role in providing services and bring back local street activity.

Reduce the need for car trips to bigger centres.

== Beat the traffic ==

Develop light rail for frequent, low carbon, quiet transport shuttling us from the airport to to the city – via the university, the hospital and Randwick.

Our densely populated region deserves no less.

== Care for people ==

The best quality schools – including space to play. Keep ethics classes running.

Help hospitals create the best possible physical health care, mental health care, and disability services facilities.

== Keep our beaches clean ==

Let's keep our use of plastic on the coast to an absolute minimum. BYO bag when you go shopping. Keep the sea plastic free.

“Do it for Bluey!”

== Stop bad planning ==

Take a whole of government approach. Plan infrastructure carefully along with housing, employment, and youth and aged services.

Return decision making power to local communities.

= New South Wales needs a voice for justice in the upper house =

David Shoebridge is The Greens lead candidate for the upper house in the 2011 NSW State Election.

Before entering NSW parliament David worked as a barrister specialising in industrial relations law. He continues to serve as a councillor in Woollahra where he lives with his partner and two daughters.

David's key campaigns include:

* Local planning and development issues – David is working to repeal Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act that gives the planning minister powers to bypass councils and approve a range of developments.

* A Bill of Rights for NSW – To enshrine its citizens’ rights to essential freedoms.

* Housing affordability – Everyone should have access to stable, secure and affordable housing.

* A fairer justice system – One that is more humane, addressing the causes of crime. Regressive bail laws, more gaols and longer sentences are not the way to make our society safer.

David Shoebridge
Lead candidate – Upper house
